AIC to Host a Town Hall Meeting on August 9

The AIC Board of directors has announced a live Town Hall Meeting, via conference telephone call, to gather feedback and ideas for the 2015 gathering. The Town Hall Meeting will take place on Saturday, August 9, 2014 from 9AM -10AM PDT (12PM- 1PM EDT) using a free conference call service called

The meeting will be hosted by members of the AIC Board and moderated by Jay GaBany, the AIC's new President. According to GaBany, "The AIC conducts an anonymous survey after each conference that's used to improve the next meeting. But, surveys are limited in scope and do not enable us to engage in a dialog or follow-up with questions. It's extremely important for our conferences to provide good value and meet the expectations of everyone who attends. So, we believe a live telephone conference call will be a more effective way for us to gather ideas from the community and help insure the next conference is the best one yet."

To help keep the meeting productive, there will be a limit of 25 attendees.

Participation is voluntary and free. Those who attend the meeting will not incur any fees from AIC or the conference call service provider. But, each person will be responsible for all long distance or talk time charges imposed by their telephone carrier.

The discussion will provide an opportunity for those in attendance to offer suggestions, share ideas and proffer opinions that will help shape future conferences, beginning with the next gathering scheduled for fall 2015. Topics will include workshop scheduling, speaker invitation suggestions, meal menu improvements, the conference's agenda in general and anything else that is brought up for consideration. "So, if you have an idea or suggestion that you believe would make the next AIC more memorable, interesting and worthwhile, you are invited to share your thoughts with the Board at this first ever Town Hall event," GaBany added.

As an extra incentive to join the Town Hall Meeting, participants will receive a $10 discount eCoupon that can be redeemed when registration for the 2015 conference opens next spring.

To join the AIC Town Hall Meeting please register here before midnight PDT, Monday, August 4. A few days prior to the meeting, the first 25 registrants will receive an email with instructions for joining the discussion.

Remember, the meeting will be limited to the first 25 enrollments, so submit your name now!
